Polymeric materials consist of molecules of higher molecular weight, varying from 103 to 107. All polymer have recurring structural molecular units that comprises large molecules. Four major industries
1.
Plastic
2.
Fibre
3.
Rubber and
4.
Paint and Varnish.
Naturally occurring polymers are a) Cellulose b) Lignin C)
Proteins and d) Resins and rubbers.
On account of their inherent advantage in properties and
versatility in adaptation and use, Plastic have come to play vital role in
variety of application in world over
Plastics are used in making essential consumers goods of
daily use for common man such as Basket, water bottle, tiffin box,
toothbrushes. They also find application in field like agriculture, automobile,
transportation, engineering, electronics, defense, medicine and building
construction. Plastic is growing importance in agriculture and waste
management.
Plastic can also play major role in improving agricultural
productivity through new techniques of plastic film use. They are extensively used
in water management. The use of LDPE sheets for Canal and reservoir lining
helps reduce seepage losses. Plastic piles and fitting find a place in drip
irrigation.
Packaging is major outlet for plastic, By providing economic
means for packaging. Plastic have role to play in reducing and the effective
cost of basic items of consumption such as food grains, fruits, vegetables,
edible oils milks sugars. Overall need for buck packaging as well as retail
packaging will grow dramatically.

India’s demand for main commodity polymer (polypropylene,
Polyethylene, polystyrene and PVC) has tripled every decade since 1960’s and
reached 16.65 Mt/a in year 2021-22. India's polymer consumption will witness a
growth of 6.4 per cent to 17.69 million tonnes in the financial year 2022-23.
The Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has sanctioned
Rs 233.14 crore to the Department of
Chemicals and Petrochemicals in the Union Budget 2021-22 to support
Production-linked Incentive Scheme and in turns boost domestic manufacturing
and exports.
I as of late happened upon your blog and needed to communicate the amount I enjoyed perusing your postings. I'm trusting you'll compose again soon. Thank you kindly for the amazing data. Heavy Duty Polyethylene Tarp
